THIS ISN'T YOUR MOTHER'S 2020
If the pandemic has taught us anything other than how to bake and that our butts look awesome in yoga pants, it's how to adapt to new situations. In-person writing workshops were canceled across the world but that leaves us an opportunity to reach more writers, write more words, drink more boxed wine (I may be speaking for myself here), and come together through Zoom and Facebook Groups.

A Novel Idea Writing Workshop is here to support writers from daydream to tying up those final loose ends. Workshops covering everything from historical research to character development to the business of being a writer will be packed into one fun-filled and productive day.

At the end of the day, selected first pages will receive feedback to make sure the project has its best chance for publication with the advice from Michelle Grajkowski and Stacey Graham from 3 Seas Literary!

Patti Wigington
Patti Wigington writes both fiction and non-fiction.
Patti fell in love with the past as a child and has a Bachelor’s Degree in History. She loves a good historical romance, especially if there are elements of mystery and suspense thrown in between dances and duels. She is fascinated by the Regency period and colonial America, and regularly wishes she could host an afternoon tea chat with Jane Austen and Alexander Hamilton. Her novels include MacFarlane’s Ridge, Call of the Clan, and Scar Tissue. Her Regency romantic mystery, That Falconer Woman, will be released by Wild Rose Press in early 2021.
Patti lives in Ohio with a pair of college students, a vast collection of books and Tarot cards, and a very large dog. You can find her online at http://pattiwigington.com.
Michelle Grajkowski
From the moment Michelle Grajkowski first opened the doors to the 3 Seas Literary Agency in August of 2000, she has been living her dream. (What could be better than surrounding yourself with amazing authors and their exciting and imaginative books?) Since then, her agency has sold almost 900 books to all the major publishing houses.
Michelle’s client list includes New York Times Bestselling Authors Katie MacAlister, Cathy McDavid, Kerrelyn Sparks and C.L. Wilson. She primarily represents romance, women’s fiction, young adult and middle grade fiction along with select non-fiction projects with a terrific message. She is currently looking for fantastic writers with a voice of their own.
Melanie Hooyenga
Multi-award winning young adult author Melanie Hooyenga writes books about strong girls who learn to navigate life despite its challenges. She first started writing as a teenager and finds she still relates best to that age group.

Her first book, Flicker, won first place for Middle Grade/Young Adult in the Writer’s Digest 2015 Self-Published eBook awards, and The Rules Series has won ten awards, including Finalist for MG/YA in the 2019 BookLife Prize. Her newest release, Chasing the Sun, won gold for young adult general fiction in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.
